Van Benthem & Keulen takes the step to digital filing with Autonomy iManage
Rotterdam, 7 January 2010 - Increasing work efficiency and improving the back office are the main reasons why law firm Van Benthem & Keulen has taken the step to start working with a document management system. Following an extensive selection process during which several document management systems of different suppliers were reviewed, Van Benthem & Keulen have selected iManage WorkSite of Autonomy (formerly Interwoven). Epona, which has guided the selection process, will now undertake the implementation and roll out of Autonomy iManage WorkSite.
The proven and solid technology of iManage WorkSite, and the market leadership of supplier Autonomy were decisive in Van Benthem & Keulen’s choice for the system. The capabilities of iManage WorkSite closely match the needs of Van Benthem & Keulen with respect to digital filing. These include optimal e-mail archiving, and making information efficiently retrievable and searchable.
Johan Koggink, director of Van Benthem & Keulen: During the last few years we have built a strong relationship with Marcel Lang of Epona. The extensive experience of Epona is valuable for Van Benthem & Keulen. The implementation of document management is a big step forward for our organization. Capable support and guidance is essential for a successful implementation.
Together with Epona Van Benthem & Keulen evaluated several systems for document management. Epona has over 15 years of experience with various national and international law firms. The daily practice of the legal professional therefore holds no secrets for the Epona consultants. Based on this knowledge and on the specific needs of Van Benthem & Keulen, Epona made a shortlist of candidate systems, which in addition to iManage WorkSite included Kluwer Fidura, Hummingbird OpenText, D3 and DMS4Legal.
The technical implementation will take place in the first quarter of 2010, followed by the roll out of the system in the organization. The 120 employees of the law firm will then start working in a new and improved way with the use of document management.
