Save Office 365 Files to DMSforLegal (Including PDFs)

To save new documents to DMSforLegal follow the steps shown below.

  1. Create an Office 365 file
  2. Choose the File tab
  3. Click Save or Save As

  1. Choose Save when you want to save the working file in the current folder. Only choose this option when you are certain about the file location. Otherwise, choose Save As to open the DMSforLegal folder and search for the desired location to save the document.
  2. In the Save as dialogue box you can enter a document name in the text field labeled File name. There is also a check box to enable you to make it private if you choose.
  3. Select file type from the Save as type drop-down menu. To save as a PDF, select .PDF file type.
  4. After adding both name and type, you can add comments or notes about the file.
  5. Click OK to save the document.

Save Office Files to Local File System (Including PDFs)

  1. Create an Office file
  2. Choose the File tab
  3. Click Save As
  4. In the Save as dialogue box, choose This PC.
  5. Select the location you want to save the file to.
  6. Select file type from the Save as type drop-down menu. To save as a PDF, select .pdf file type, etc.
  7. Click OK.
